a letter to god

Dear God,

We were all talking recently about what a terrific job you did with
your creation. The trees, flowers, bunnies, waterfalls -- all
beautiful, perfect, and really spectacular. In fact, we decided to get
together regularly to celebrate your creation and thank you for all
those great things you made. And so, we decided we needed a suitable
location for thanking you.

So we chopped down a bunch of your trees and cut them up into straight
boards to make a roof over us, because after we cut down the trees,
the sun was hot on our heads. We used the leftover tree parts to make
a bunch of hard benches to sit on, because your soft grass is moist,
and sometimes there are bugs there.

And then we tore up the ground and dug out a bunch of rocks. They were
all jagged and sharp, so we ground them up, and mushed them back
together into square-ish bricks to build a wall around us, and to help
hold up the roof.

Then, since we ripped up the soft grass to get to the rocks, and
because bugs are gross, we manufactured synthetic fibers to lay as
carpet to walk upon. We even found a way to dye the carpet some really
amazing colors, nothing like how your flowers or trees are colored.

Anyway, the place turned out great, and it's been really nice to have
somewhere we can get together to celebrate the beauty of your creation
without actually having to mess with the rain, or wind, or bugs, or
... well you know, actually deal with your creation in real time. The
bunnies are adorable, but they do poop everywhere.

Anyway, once again, TERRIFIC work.

Sincerely,
Your Followers
